Privacy Policy

NeilC AI Consulting ("I", "this site") operates neilc.ai. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit, how analytics cookies are used, the choices you have, and your rights. This site does not sell personal data and does not run advertising.

With your consent, this site uses two analytics services:

• Microsoft Clarity — records how visitors use the site: pages viewed, clicks, scrolls, and anonymised session replays and heatmaps. Clarity sets cookies (such as _clck and _clsk) to distinguish visits. Data is processed by Microsoft under its own privacy terms; personal data entered in forms is masked.
• Google Analytics 4 — measures page views and traffic sources in aggregate. It sets cookies (such as _ga) and processes data under Google's privacy terms.

These cookies are not strictly necessary for the site to work. They are only set after you choose Accept on the consent banner.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies:

• Accept — Clarity and Google Analytics load and begin measuring your visit.
• Decline — no analytics cookies are set and no tracking scripts load.

Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage) so the banner does not reappear on every page. You can revisit or change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics collection from that point; it does not delete data already collected anonymously before withdrawal.

If you contact me by email, book a briefing, or subscribe to the newsletter, the details you provide (name, email address, message) are used solely to respond to you or deliver what you requested. Newsletter subscriptions are handled by Mailchimp under its own privacy policy; every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link.

Depending on where you live (including the UK, EEA, and certain US states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Analytics data collected via Clarity and Google Analytics is aggregated or pseudonymised and is not used to identify you personally.
